KENNON!......

Kennon came to visit us last Saturday. She came to Utah for some work business but who cares about that? Pretty much we took pictures and visited and Kennon, the girls and Max played "Wig Out" while I fed Daisy. I did take a leave and went to Bunko, but in my defense it wasn't suppose to be on Saturday night, it was suppose to be on Thursday night. And since there were only 6 ladies there that night, I actually won one of the 5 prizes! Whu hoo!

Then, on Sunday we went to dinner at Max's parents house. Probably it's Kennon's parents house too. Anyway, we went to dinner and besides it being yummy, we did more sitting around and visiting. Daisy did what she LOVES best, and got held the entire night.

Grandfahr and his newest great granddaughter. I think he likes her.

Kennon getting her Daisy fix before she had to go back to Indiana.

LOVE this picture. Pretty sure Kennon LOVES this baby too.

Plus, there were MANY video clips taken of all three girls. Apparently Chris was very bugged that she was missing out. I know we were missing her. Kennon told us that Chris was very sad but being very grown up about her not getting to come out for a visit too......UNTIL she realized that there was a new baby Daisy to see. Then she wasn't so grown up about it anymore. It was my favorite story. We love that Chris loads and loads.

One Happy Baby. Kennon, we already miss you.

The end.

The proof I went fishing...once

Technically I didn't fish. But I did GO!

All the way back in March, we went fishing at Diamond Fork. It was really actually fun. Max and Maddy fished while Ruby and I mostly hung out and took pictures of the mighty fisher people.

Total proof. Here I am...

This was Max's preferred way to carry Maddy across the (somewhat) raging river. He would hold on to her hip waders where the shoulder straps meet the wader part. Very wedgie like.

Discussing where to fish first.

Maddy sporting the Grandfahr concentration face. She was trying hard.

Here it is again, cuz it's so cute. I love that the kids do this. It gives me warm fuzzies.

Ruby with her Hello Kitty trucker hat on.

This is Maddy's preferred way to carry Ruby through the "muck" to the good stuff. The "good stuff" was rocks and moss and little water critters. They loved all the little "streams" that were everywhere. They dug in them with sticks and would show me everything they found.

This is also how Maddy brings Ruby back from the restroom before Sacrament meeting starts, on Sunday. Of course, they don't wear waders and trucker hats to church. That would be totally inappropriate.

This way worked to get to the muck too.

Also, this was a good way.
It warms my heart to see my (usually crusty to each other) children being so sweet and lovely.

Max tying on some slimy thing to the fishing line.

Ruby, striking a pose. I think it's the " Monkey covering the ears" pose.

One of the fish they caught. Ruby wanted to touch ALL of them. She's so gross.

More proof that I was there. Aren't we cute?

Whu HOO FISH ON!

Show me your best "scowls" Good job.

Max is NOT talking on the phone while Maddy does all the work. He was taking a picture to send to his friend, to brag that his DAUGHTER was catching all the fish.

See, pictures. Obviously, we didn't do Maddy's hair.

Getting the hook out. Maddy has since gotten disgustingly brave at this task. It makes me cringe a little.

More across the river transporting, via wedgies.

We ALL had a great time. And have since gone fishing together again. Imagine that.

PS I'm using real actual names because I think someday I'll get my blog made into a book. I want my grand kids to not be confused. I mean, less confused. They are already going to be completely lost with how I talk - I mean, write.

The END
