Dream catchers and Birdies....

Maddy has a new friend that moved in (basically) our back yard, a few months ago. We are so happy she's here. She's exactly 10 years old and is the sweetest and, not to mention polite, girl there is. Her bedroom in her new house is upstairs and all by its self (which I would have LOVED when I was 10). She was a bit afraid to be up there all alone so my sweet Maddy made her a dream catcher to make her feel better.

Tierney gave Max a dream catcher for when one of his unimportant girlfriends and him broke up. We've keep it all these years and Max gave it to Maddy when Liesel died. Maddy thought her friend would want one too.

As for Ruby, she made a birdie out of play-do and it was precious.

See, precious.

The END.

This post is for the birds...

I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to happen....but our birds have FINALLY hatched!

Here's the first picture I took. I missed the nest. But what do you expect from a Pygmy who just holds the camera up above her head and takes a picture. I should get a mirror like my little Jessica friend.

Aren't they cute little fuzzballs?

Ohpph. a little blurry

If you can't remember (because I know you all care) here is what I found back on June 5th. It's now July 3rd. Boy they took a long time getting here.

And this is there home. My hanging basket. They live in between the green leaf and the orangish leaf on the far right.

NOW how am I suppose to water, with a bunch of birds hanging out in my basket?

What I found.....

I was checking to see if I need to water my hanging baskets last night and look what I found.

I actually stuck my finger right in the nest and thought "woah, that soil is bone dry...and packed down."

Here's the Momma (or the Dad) perched on my geranium. She (or he) wasn't to pleased with me.

Nests are popping up in strange places everywhere. My neighbor, Jessica has to leave their grill lid up because every time they put it down, the birds try to build a nest inside.

My other neighbor, Natalie came home from church to find a bird nest built on her wreath on her front door.

And my beauty school friend, Little Jessica has a bird family right on her porch light. They are a little harder to get to than mine.

Up at the tippy top of the picture is the Momma again. She was all sorts of upset I was bothering her.

Now, how am I suppose to water?
